By car from the M6
- Exit at Junction 15 from the M6
- A500 to STOKE - A50 to UTTOXETER
- Passing Stoke City Football Stadium, on the right
- Continue on the dual carriageway all the way until
- A521 to Blythe Bridge and Caverswall
- You will pass signs for Leek and Stone (A520)
- Take the slip road A521 to Blythe Bridge and Caverswall
- At the roundabout take the first left (there is a small sign Caverswall)
- PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ROAD ALMOSTS DOUBLES BACK ON ITSELF
- Drive for approximately two miles until you come to a T-junction.
- On your left you will see the name of the road you have just driven down School Lane.
- Turn right here and after 200 yards you will see the Village Square.
- On your left, as you enter the square, you will see The Red House hotel and public house. Drive around the stocks in the middle of the square and leave by the third exit.
- This is Blythe Bridge Road and you will see, on the right, a raised pavement with railings and window boxes with flowers in them.
- Slow down, the entrance to Caverswall Castle is between two churches,
- just where the raised pavement ceases to be a raised pavement, is the entrance to the castle.
- As you turn in DO NOT GO OVER THE BRIDGE
- Turn right - follow the road round
- past two other large houses which are on your right.
- Ahead on the left you will see a car port in front of an oil tank
- pull onto car port. Walk down slope beside car port
- walk over wooden bridge which goes over the moat
